  Marianella’s Pastoral Ministry

Marianella’s three-month renewal programmes offer the best of contemporary Catholic scholarship in ways that are both personally enriching and pastorally useful.
The Programmes are designed for priests, religious and lay ministers who are seeking a sabbatical experience that promotes personal renewal, theological updating and the development of pastoral skills.

Subjects covered usually include:
Scripture, christology, liturgy, eucharist, ministry, moral theology in pastoral practice, marriage, justice and development, prayer and spirituality, celtic spirituality, journeying through transition, compassion for self and others, handling diversity and disagreement, women's voices in theology, healing and reconciliation, Myers-Briggs workshop, stress management.

The programme includes a three-day pilgrimage of reconciliation to Belfast and visits to places of
historical and spiritual significance.

The programmes are residential. Classes are held from Monday morning to Friday lunchtime. Wednesday afternoons are generally free and there is one free week during the programme. In each ministry course arrival/check-in is on Sunday evening between 4.00 and 6.00 p.m. Departure is on Thursday morning.

Dear friend in PRAYER

For some years there has been a week of prayerful intercession during the first week of July 2002 from 1st to 5th here in St. Clements.
We are continuing this July as it can never be said that we can dispense with our good God’s blessing. Perhaps, more than ever
we need to call on His mercy.

You are invited to come and join us as we pray. Bring as many of your family, of your prayer group, of your community or congregation who can come — whether it is for just one evening
or for several evenings. We begin at 8.00pm and finish at 9.l5pm.
All are welcome.

If it is possible everyoiie would be grateful if a reference to
this week of prayer could be placed in your church newsletter or parish Bulletin. Spread the message;.

West Virginia United Methodist Group

Are welcome guests at St Clements as they are working in the greater Belfast area from the 20th June until 4th July

A sentimental Journey for our Deportees

If listening to the radio or watching television most of us are aware of the tragic deportation of young orphaned children from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland to Australia simply because their parents could not be traced. This happened in 1947 with tragic consequences for many families and their children. This unbelievable policy has been given many names but the one that remains with me is 'The Stolen Children'.
Today I spoke to  Sheelagh and Dorean at last united with their sister and brother Mary and Joseph Cahal who still live in Northern Ireland. They were brought together with the help of the Bishops,
priests and nuns including the nuns from Nathareth house. This happened in 1997 and I captured another re-union 22nd June at St. Clements Retreat House.

JULY 2nd (Mon)   to  JULY 7th  (Sat)
